Melina Ellis

Concord Hospital

Melina is a hospital scientist, having trained at the University of Melbourne specializing in Neurophysiology. She has been in research for close to 20 years and is currently laboratory manager of the Northcott Neurobiology Group at the Anzac Research Institute and Concord Hospital working under the direction of Professor Marina Kennerson. Melina’s research interests are focused on gene discovery and genomic sequencing in the diagnosis of inherited neurological disorders including Charcot- Marie Tooth and Parkinson’s disease. Her key responsibilities are database and clinical information management, laboratory operations and maintenance, and implementing various molecular biology techniques.
