Biography
I am a researcher affiliated with the European Brain Research Institute (EBRI) Bioinformatics lab. My primary research focus is on utilizing RNA sequencing, clinical, and proteomic data of neurodegenerative diseases through advanced machine learning techniques. This work aims to achieve more precise diagnostics, predictive modeling, and a deeper understanding of neurodegenerative diseases.
Currently, I am focusing on Parkinson’s disease and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a rare Parkinsonian disorder.
My background is quite diverse. I have completed the Master in High Performance Computing (MHPC) program at ICTP/SISSA, where I finalized my studies with a thesis on leveraging multi-omics and clinical datasets of Parkinson’s disease with machine learning. Prior to this, I earned my PhD in theoretical high energy physics.
