Biography
Associate professor of neurology in Egypt, I hold a medical degree, a master’s degree, and a medical doctorate in neurology from the faculty of medicine at Cairo University in 2015. A fellow of the European Board of Neurology 2016, completed a Movement disorders Mini-fellowship program (2020) from the University of Nebraska Medical Centre (UNMC), Nebraska, USA, completed a 1- year training program in clinical research from Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA(2021), completed a 1-year research fellowship in the genetics of movement disorders at Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, Chicago, USA(2023). I have received many training programs and courses in genetic analysis and interpretation. I’m finishing my Master’s in Clinical Neurology at the University College London(UCL). A GP2 member since 2022.An active member of the Middle East Consortium of PD and movement disorders . I am a member of the steering committees for the education and Women in Movement Disorders special interest group of the Movement Dis order Society (MDS). My research focuses on different neurologic dis orders, especially movement and genetics. Aspiring to establish a consortium in the Middle East to study the genetic background of varying movement disorders and neurodegenerative diseases to advance global movement disorders care.
