Biography
Vesna is a neurology resident at the University Medical centre in Ljubljana, Slovenia and a neuroscience PhD student at the University of Ljubljana. She also did part of her training at the Nothwestern Unversity Neurology Department as part of her American-Slovenian Edication Foundation Research Fellow pasition. In her PhD she is using transcranial magnetic stimulation, inertial motion sensors and fMRI to asses the mechanism and effect of a novel neuromodulatory treatment option in advanced Parkinson’s disease patients. Vesna joined GP2 in 2023 and currently serves as the Central European Trainee Representative. Her research with GP2 focuses on the pathogenicity of various LRRK2 domains in Parkinson’s disease.
