Tamara Shiner, MD, PhD

Biography

Dr Tamara Shiner is Senior Neurologist specializing in Parkinson’s disease and Cognitive Neurology at the Neurological Institute of the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (‘Ichilov’). Dr Shiner is Head of the Service for Frontal Neurological syndromes and Dementia with Lewy Bodies. She is also a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the Sackler School of Medicine and the Sagol School of Neurosciences in Tel Aviv University. Prior to this time, Dr. Shiner was a Neurologist in a number of leading London hospitals, including the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London (‘Queen Square’).

Dr Shiner’s main area of practice involves the diagnosis and management of

Parkinson’s disease and Parkinsonian disorders, Lewy body disease as well as other causes of dementia including Alzheimer’s disease. A special area of both clinical and academic interest is in the diagnosis and management of diseases which affect both movement and cognition.
