Simona Jasaityte, MSc

Biography

Simona is a PhD Student in Dr Petra Proitsi’s lab at Queen Mary University of London. Her research focuses on genetics of progression of Parkinson’s Disease and integration of multi-omics approaches.

Simona completed her BSc in Psychology at the University of Surrey in 2020, followed by MSc in Clinical Neuroscience at UCL in 2021. Simona worked as a research assistant with Prof Huw Morris at UCL between 2022 and 2025. She was part of the GP2 Cohort Integration Working Group and coordinated the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Families Project (PFP) – a UK-wide study investigating the genetics of familial and early onset movement disorders.
