Biography

Ogunkoya Oluwamuyiwa is a Medical Laboratory Scientist with experience in diagnostic laboratory testing, medical research, and public health. He holds a B.MLS degree from the University of Lagos and works as a research for the TraPCAf (Transforming Parkinson’s Care in Africa) project. In this role, he collects and processes biological samples, and trains field assistants across Africa.

His medical laboratory science experience spans multiple institutions, including Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Federal Medical Center, and the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research where he trained as a medical laboratory scientist student and intern. He is interested in molecular diagnostics and has experience in microbiology, hematology, chemical pathology and histopathology, with hands-on experience using laboratory analyzers such as PCR thermocyclers and blood culture systems. Additionally, he has contributed to antimicrobial resistance research and has engaged in public health promotion and patient education.
