Biography
Marie Vidailhet, Professor of Neurology at Salpêtriere Hospital (AP-HP), Sorbonne Université is head of the Movement Disorders group (Reference center for Parkinson & National Centre for Rares Diseases Dystonia and rare Movement disorders ), and co-leader (Pr Lehéricy) of the research team Mov’It “Movement disorders & Basal ganglia: physiopathology & experimental therapeutics “the Research Institute Paris Brain Institute, ICM U1127 INSERM-CNRS Salpêtriere, Paris.
With, her team, beside the medical (hospital) and teaching (Sorbonne Université) she is mainly focused on clinical research in movement disorders , dystonia and tremor (multimodal approach (Neurophysiology and MRI) and new treatments, and in Parkinson’s disease for markers of diagnosis and evolution. With her team, she is also author of more than 100 scientific papers (H factor=81). She is member of the Movement disorders Society (MDS), past Board Member of European Academy of Neurology (EAN) and member of the French Neurological Society. She received Honorary award from MDS and Academie des Sciences (France)
She has also close connections with patient’s associations: Dystonia (AMADYS, Dystonia Europe, Dystonia Coalition (US), Dystonia Medical Research Foundation), Tourette Syndrome, APTES (tremor), Parkinson’s disease (France Parkinson).
