Biography
I am a neurologist from the University of Chile and I did the British Council Scholarship in London to study Parkinson’s. My interest is focused on studying the management and diagnosis of neurodegenerative conditions. The motivation for creating this Foundation is to facilitate access to an accurate diagnosis under these conditions. Diagnosis is the first step in managing a disease, even if there is currently no curative treatment. There are more and more therapy options and there will be more and more effective but for that we need to know exactly what you are suffering from. I like reading, music, and I love cats. Since I was a child I was inspired by reading Sherlock Holmes, who uses the scientific method to find the culprit, we work looking for ‘culprits’ that are the causes of diseases. I believe that giving back to the society that welcomed us is a duty and contributes to making a better country, less selfish and more humanitarian.
