Biography

Katerina is a movement disorders neurologist and a molecular geneticist whose research interests have long been focused on the genetics of sporadic and familial Parkinson’s disease and Parkinsonian syndromes. She is currently the Director of the Movement Disorders section and Director of the DBS program in the Department of Neurology at NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston, Illinois, and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She currently serves as the president of the Genetic Epidemiology of Parkinson’s Disease (GEoPD) consortium.
