Biography

Hetal completed her PhD in the laboratory of Dr. Richard Youle in the in the Graduate Partnership Program at the National Institutes of Health and the University of Maryland. In the Youle lab, she studied mechanisms of Parkin-independent mitophagy. Previously, she was a post-baccalaureate at the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders. Prior to that, she earned her bachelors at the University of Iowa.
