Biography
Dr. Devin Snyder is an Associate Program Officer at the Coalition for Aligning Science and Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s (ASAP), an initiative designed to accelerate the pace of discovery for Parkinson’s disease through collaboration, resource generation, and data sharing.
Prior to joining the Coalition for Aligning Science, Dr. Snyder served as a project manager for a multidisciplinary, cross-institutional research team funded by ASAP. Successful management of this highly collaborative effort relied on a thorough understanding of project scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables, while maintaining open communication with all team members and stakeholders.
Dr. Snyder earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) School of Medicine. She has authored several scientific articles and presented at multiple scientific meetings. Dr. Snyder is committed to promoting transparent and readily comprehensible scientific communication across disciplines and has served on several committees whose goals were to facilitate open communication and scientific outreach within the Baltimore community. Dr. Snyder is equally passionate about career development for scientific trainees and has served on the UMB Student Career Advisory Committee and the UMB Graduate Student Association, where she initiated a scholarship program known as The Professional Development Award. Dr. Snyder was honored to receive the UMB President’s Certificate of Commendation in recognition of this work.
