Brian Fiske, PhD

Biography

Brian joined The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) in 2004 as one of its first internal science experts, working with other early staff to shape the strategic research focus and philosophy at the heart of the Foundation’s mission. In his current role as Co-Chief Scientific Officer, Brian supports a team of professionals who are closely linked to the Parkinson’s community in order to develop an aggressive and innovative agenda for accelerating research and drug development for Parkinson’s disease. Before bringing his expertise to MJFF, Brian trained as a biologist and neuroscientist with a PhD from the University of Virginia, postdoctoral research performed at Columbia University and scientific publishing experience as an editor at the scientific journal, Nature Neuroscience.
