Biography

Amanda is currently pursuing a PhD in statistical genetics at the QIMR Berghofer in Brisbane, Australia. One of her research projects investigated the causal role of plasma proteins in Parkinson’s disease risk, with a key focus on comparing findings between comparing European and East Asian populations. This work highlighted ancestry-related differences in gene-protein-PD associations with implications for biomarker development and targeted therapeutic strategies.
