Alejandra Lázaro-Figueroa

Biography

I am Alejandra Lázaro-Figueroa, a PhD student in Behavioral Neurosciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). My research project aims to understand the genetic and environmental variations associated with cognitive decline in Parkinson’s Disease within the Mexican population. Additionally, I am a member of the Mexican Parkinson’s Disease Research Network (MEX-PD) and the GP2 Trainee Network. I have attended two GP2 Bioinformatics Training Workshops and have collaborated on single-gene analysis with the GP2 cohorts.
I am very interested in understanding more about the genetics of Parkinson’s disease, as well as the neurodegeneration processes associated with cognitive performance.
