Biografía

Dr. Maria Leila M. Doquenia is an Adult Neurologist, Movement Disorder Specialist, and Clinical Neurophysiologist based in Lipa, Batangas, and Metro Manila, Philippines, where she also serves as an Assistant Professor at the UERM Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Doquenia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy (PTRP) and completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and residency training in Neurology, followed by specialized subspecialty fellowship training in Movement Disorders and Clinical Neurophysiology. Her research and clinical interests focus on neurodegenerative conditions—including Parkinson’s disease and X-linked Dystonia-Parkinsonism (XDP)—with an emphasis on expanding multi-ancestry genetic research, cohort integration, and improving care for underrepresented populations in global neurogenetics.
