Eunyong Park, PhD

University of California, Berkeley

Eunyong Park, PhD, is an assistant professor of biochemistry, biophysics, and structural biology at the University of California, Berkeley. He received his PhD in biochemistry at Harvard University with Dr. Tom Rapoport and postdoctoral training in structural biology and biophysics at Rockefeller University with Dr. Roderick MacKinnon. Since joining the faculty at UC Berkeley in 2018, his research has focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of biogenesis and quality control of eukaryotic membrane-bound organelles, such as mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum, using biochemical and structural approaches. Dr. Park received the Vallee Scholars Award in 2018 and the Pew Biomedical Scholars Award in 2020.
