Biography
Dena received her Ph.D. in Molecular Neuroscience from the University College London in the United Kingdom and an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. She currently directs the Genomic Technologies Group within the Laboratory of Neurogenetics, National Institute on Aging, and National Institutes of Health where she applies high-content genomic technologies in support of genetic, epigenetic, and transcriptomic investigations of neurodegenerative disorders and aging, focusing on Parkinson’s disease. She collaborates within NIH and through several large consortia and initiatives such as International Parkinson Disease Genomics Consortium, Foundational Data Initiative for Parkinson’s Disease, Accelerating Medicines Partnership Program, and Michael J. Fox Foundation.
