Biography

Dr. Sophia Sopromadze is a clinician and clinical researcher, investigating advanced therapeutics of Parkinson disease and other movement disorders. Dr. Sopromadze completed her medical training and neurology residency in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she also served as chief resident. After finishing her residency, she took part in clinical fellowship short courses in movement disorders at the Parkinson’s & Movement Disorder Institute Fountain Valley in Long Beach, California, the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, the UK, and Kings College Hospital in the UK. Dr. Sopromadze relocated back to Tbilisi, Georgia, where she is now the assistant professor of neurology at East European University and the head of the department for movement disorders at the University Hospital Pineo Medical Ecosystem.
