Biography
Mayeso is a lecturer in human physiology at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences in Malawi. She has a PhD in Medical Science (Neurobiology) from Hiroshima University obtained in 2018. Her research interests are in the molecular pathophysiology and genetic and environmental risk factors of epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease. Mayeso is also passionate about improving public engagement on neurological disorders. She has organized an MDS-funded movement disorders workshop for non-neurologists and an IBRO-funded video documentary on Parkinson’s disease.
