Biography

Maxine is originally from South Africa and has completed a MSc at the University of Pavia in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Human Sciences. Her current work focuses on understanding genetic factors in Parkinson’s disease, particularly GBA1 and related variants working at the Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of Pavia . She has taken courses in big data analysis and biostatistics, and is gaining experience with genomic datasets and bioinformatics tools through her involvement in GP2 projects.
