Huifang Shang

Biography

Huifang Shang is a professor of neurology and vice director of the Department of Neurology at Sichuan University’s West China Hospital. Her main areas of research are the clinical, genetic, and molecular basis of Parkinson’s disease (PD), dystonia, and other movement disorders, as well as other neurodegenerative disorders. Huifang Shang serves on several editorial boards of genetic and neurology journals and has published more than 250 articles. Currently, she is researching the genetic features and progression biomarkers of Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative disorders to improve our understanding of the disease and management of patients.
