Biography

Fangyuan (Elainor) Cao is a PhD student investigating the genetic and environmental factors contributing to speech and language impairments in Parkinson’s disease. Her work focuses on identifying speech-related biomarkers to improve disease detection, monitoring, and patient management.

She holds a Master of Epidemiology (Clinical) from the University of Queensland, with expertise in epidemiological methods, biostatistics, and statistical modelling. Her research leverages large datasets to explore disease aetiology and develop predictive models, with the broader goal of advancing diagnostic tools and targeted interventions for improved patient outcomes.
