Biography
Ekemini is the Managing Director for the Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s (ASAP) initiative. Ekemini led the development and launch of ASAP and, in her role, she leads its programmatic and operational management. Ekemini is a trained molecular biologist who earned her BA from the Johns Hopkins University and PhD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Previously, she was a director at the Milken Institute Center for Strategic Philanthropy where she helped to shape and co-direct the center’s medical research practice. There she designed and facilitated several multi-sector think tank sessions and crafted research programs for philanthropic support.
