Biography

Bolu is a budding clinician-scientist and postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). He completed his medical degree at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His research interests are at the intersection of statistical genetics and molecular biology of neurodegeneration. His previous projects include differential gene expression of single cells in trisomy 21; alternative splicing events in myotonic dystrophy; and genome-wide association analysis of common variants in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. His vision is to integrate multi-omics and multi-ancestry evidence to better understand neurodegenerative disorders, improve diagnosis and therapy.
