Biography

Angelo Tiziano Cimmino is a Neurology Resident at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli in Rome, Italy. His research focuses on the clinical phenomenology and inflammatory biomarkers of sporadic movement disorders, as well as on the genetic underpinnings of monogenic forms of Parkinson’s disease and hyperkinetic movement disorders. He completed a research fellowship in Movement Disorders at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, London, UK, where he investigated the genetic basis of monogenic forms of Parkinson’s disease and hyperkinetic syndromes, with particular emphasis on the prioritization and interpretation of single nucleotide variants identified through next-generation and Sanger sequencing.
