Biografía
I studied medicine at Medical University Innsbruck and I am now a phd-student at Medical University Innsbruck, Department of Neurology, Center for Sleep Medicine since a bit more than a year. My research focuses on REM sleep behavior disorder and the phenoconversion risk to alpha-synucleinopathies, Restless legs syndrome and Narcolepsy. I am working on several studies in these fields, interventional (pharmacological as well as non-pharmacological), observational and genetic studies. Recently, I could join the ISRTP-Mentorship programme of the World Sleep Society and I am a member of the European Academy of Neurology, the International RBD Study Group and the European RLS Study Group. I see the value of international research collaborations and am glad to be able to be part of some of these. In the future, I am planning to become a neurology specialist with a focus on sleep medicine and aim to continue being active in research whilst also taking care of patients in the clinical context.
