Biografía
I am a biologist with a PhD in Genetics and a strong academic background in biomedical research. I hold a BSc in Biology from the University of the Basque Country, an MSc in Genetics and Genomics, and a PhD in Genetics from the University of Barcelona. My doctoral research focused on the genetic basis of early-onset Parkinson’s disease, combining molecular and genomic approaches to better understand disease mechanisms. Passionate about research, I am motivated by projects that generate scientific knowledge with meaningful real-world impact.
I previously worked as a research assistant at the Sant Joan de Déu Research Institute, where I contributed to translational research projects involving human genetics and precision medicine. My experience includes study design, laboratory research, data analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
I have also led and contributed to research initiatives that incorporate a social perspective on equality, gender, diversity, and inclusion, reflecting my commitment to responsible and people-centered science.
My current interests are centered on Parkinson’s disease genetics, biomarker discovery, and the application of research to improve patient care. Joining GP2 as a trainee represents an exciting opportunity to contribute to global collaborative efforts in Parkinson’s research while continuing to grow as a scientist.
