Biographie
I am a biochemist with a background in molecular neuropathology, neurodegenerative disease biomarkers, and seed amplification assays. My research focuses on improving the biological diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders, including multiple system atrophy and progressive supranuclear palsy. I am particularly interested in developing and validating tissue- and fluid-based biomarkers that can detect disease-specific protein misfolding and help stratify patients for clinical trials.
I currently work at the University Health Network and the University of Toronto, where I am part of the Rossy PSP Centre and the Tanz Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases. Over the past several years, I have worked closely with multidisciplinary teams combining clinical neurology, neuropathology, biochemistry, and biomarker development.
