个人简介

My name is Noble Selorm Gbormittah, a licensed and practising Medical Laboratory Scientist in Ghana. I hold a Diploma, a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Medical Laboratory. I am currently studying the Master of Public Health at Ensign Global University in Ghana, and considering Genetics and Molecular Epidemiology as an area of interest. As part of my job, I work as a supervisor and train students on vocational attachment. I have assisted lecturers and students with specimen data collection for research work. I have two pending research projects on sickle cell disease yet to be published.
I also work with the Ghana National Malaria Elimination Program as a nationally certified malaria microscopist, and looking forward to becoming an internationally certified malaria microscopist. I am responsible for training colleagues in my region because early detection is crucial for the elimination agenda. I am also a National Cephid GeneXpert user who is responsible for training on the use and maintenance of the GeneXpert machine in my region.
I have closely worked with the South Tongu District Health Directorate on Onsite Training and Supportive Supervision, which allowed us to monitor, evaluate, and train all health facilities in the district for the past eight years.
I work as a chief technical officer at Medlook Ghana, an NGO who have, over the years, screened thousands of school-going children for malaria, hepatitis, sickle cell, HIV, urine, stool, etc and provided treatment and counselling.
Currently, I volunteer as one of the medical laboratory scientists for specimen collection, storage and transportation for TraPCaf, Sogakope.
