السيرة الذاتية
I am a molecular scientist and research assistant at the AMPATH Reference Laboratory in Eldoret, Kenya, with a strong interest in genomics, molecular diagnostics, and epigenetics. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Medical Biochemistry at Moi University, where my research focuses on evaluating DNA methylation biomarkers for the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis.
My work involves participant recruitment, biological sample processing, DNA extraction, PCR-based molecular assays, and laboratory data analysis. Through my role in research and biobanking activities, I have gained experience in molecular techniques, sample management, and translational research within African clinical settings.
I am particularly interested in applying genomics and epigenetic approaches to understand disease mechanisms and improve diagnostic tools for both infectious and neurological diseases. Through the Global Parkinson’s Genetics Program (GP2) Trainee Network, I aim to expand my expertise in genomic data analysis and contribute to advancing Parkinson’s disease research in underrepresented populations.
